Queen Street East

The clients, a lovely couple in their early seventies, decided to give a new life to their dated, cluttered and styleless bedroom. After addressing all aspects of the storage needs, lighting and the challenging layout of the room, we looked for the style inspiration. Estee Design presented the clients with a variety of ‘mood boards’, which included selections of the wallpaper, fabrics, paint colors and furniture choices to illustrate different styles of the design that would appeal to my client’s esthetics. After discussing all of the choices, the clients decided to go with the very sensual, light and airy transitional version.
Custom designed wall of the wardrobes allowed for plenty of storage, his and her separate closets with personalized interiors suited for their needs. The challenging window by the wardrobe wall, gave the opportunity to design a daybed for a quite time with a book or a story time with the grandchildren. The wall sconce was installed for task light with a switch on the side of the wardrobe for added convenience. This small project involved a lot of steps, before we called it ‘complete’ - from the design concept to space planning, from detailing of the millwork to custom materials and fabric selection. Fabrics, bedding, pillows, drapes, lighting, colors, mirrors, chair, desk and accessories – every detail was important. And the transition of the space was dramatic! Here is what the clients wrote:
“Estee Design totally redesigned my bedroom, including built in closets and all new furniture and paint, window coverings etc. The service was most professional, on time and total dedication given to the smallest of details. I am hoping to get more projects completed in the fall”.
Estee Design will be happy to work with this couple again.

It is a way of organizing a personal space, whether it is a house or a work place, to express the personality and intellect of those who inhabit them. When I meet with my clients for the first time I ask a lot of questions trying to figure out their habits and life styles, their likes and dislikes. I pay attention to all the little details and everything is important. I take great pleasure in positively impacting people's lives by helping execute my client's own vision in designing spaces that make them happier and their interiors more enjoyable!"
