Ledbury Park Residence I

That was the project of transforming the quirky North Toronto property into an inviting and stylish contemporary home.
Working with a restricted grey palette (the same three paint shades are used throughout the house) and layering organic elements, eclectic furnishings and unique artwork to create texture and warmth, Estee Design was able to convert previously intimidating house with out-of-date finishes into a tasteful and livable dwelling where the traditional and the modern, the monochromatic and the eye-popping happily co-exist.
The transformation started with a new floor plan – new entrance, kitchen, master bedroom and walk-in closet and basement layouts. Next were all the finishes: new floors, lighting plan, custom interior and exterior doors, all new bathroom fixtures and cabinets. Custom millwork finishes were designed to match gray-stained floors installed throughout the house and to emphasize monochromatic design concept of this modern sanctuary.
And the final result is a comfortable space that embodies the modern desire for openness, unity and relaxed functional fluidity inside out.

"Design should make a difference! For me design is not just about putting objects and colors together. It is a way of organizing a personal space, whether it is a house or a work place, to express the personality and intellect of those who inhabit them. When I meet with my clients for the first time I ask a lot of questions trying to figure out their habits and life styles, their likes and dislikes. I pay attention to all the little details and everything is important. I take great pleasure in positively impacting people's lives by helping execute my client's own vision in designing spaces that make them happier and their interiors more enjoyable!"
